Rectangular organizations exist, sometimes almost imperceptibly, as base layers underneath many patterns of non-rectangular shapes. Pearlie Pettway's quilt resembles an aerial view of a pyramid, whose visual weight counterbalances the fabric's wild chartreuse and red.
