Description

The Williams family proves how resourceful the women of Rehoboth could be with very limited means. According to Patty Irby, her grandmother Patty Ann Williams and her mother, Liza Jane Williams, made quilts just to keep warm, out of "whatever was too old to wear." But their finest quilts, she says, were "made out of stuff they was giving away up in Selma or someplace like that, you know, like two dollars a bundle."
