Description

Helen McCloud’s “Lazy Gal” achieves strength through simplicity, yet the quilt offers a bit of quirkiness as well. Balancing thicker, beige strips with avocado green strips, her composition pops with the insertion of one contrasting pink strip. The darker green block near the corner was also an inspired stroke. According to the maker, she just ran out of the green corduroy, had to fill the strip, and liked the way the dark square anchored the composition.
