Bettie sometimes employed her mother's (Annie Bendolph) signature triangles: this especially fine example features bands of blue and white or red and white triangles of different sizes interspersed with squares in varying shades of red, white, blue, and black. Bettie modestly describes this as a "a put-me-together quilt," noting that many of the triangles are leftover pieces from assembling a "Bear Paw"; there's even a "Bear Paw" patch on the margin.
