Description

Reflecting on his art in 1997, Lockett spoke of his 1994 work Coming Out of the Haze, which bridged the frustration and darkness of another 1994 work, Drought, and the confusion an pain of Fever Within the following year. “I’m not sure, but it’s a picture about me and some dark periods in my life where I was trying to come out of a deep depression. Thats something I’ve been battling with for a while, and I have had things go against me in my personal life, but that’s a particular picture that I made, Coming Out of the Haze.”
